Welcome to Ivanhoe Place, a historic treasure located at the MoPac railstop in downtown Hollister, Mo. This charming 1920s home, named after Sir Walter Scott's novel, is a delightful blend of Hollister history and modern comforts. The original owners, Mr. & Mrs. Johnson, were a powerhouse couple who significantly contributed to Hollister's development, including the construction of Downing Street and the introduction of the Iron Mountain railway. Their love for literature inspired the naming of this 1-story, 1-bedroom, 1-bath home and its surrounding land.
 
As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a hand-laid stone fireplace, the centerpiece of the cottage-themed interior that pays homage to the making of Hollister and the building of the railroad. The chef-style open kitchen will not disappoint. The exterior of the property continues the uniqueness with hand-laid local rock retaining walls that line the patio nestled in the hillside. Here, you can enjoy the view of the railroad while feeling tucked into nature, providing a perfect blend of history and tranquility.

One dog under 40 lbs may be accepted; prior approval is required and restrictions apply. An additional pet cleaning fee and daily pet fee will be collected after a confirmed booking. An additional refundable pet deposit may also apply. A signed pet agreement is required.
