Your safety and comfort are our top priorities during your stay. We want to make you aware of some important information regarding the fire alarm system.

Sensitive Smoke Alarms

The fire alarm system in your rental is very sensitive, which is a good thing for your safety! However, it can sometimes be triggered by things like cooking smoke. To prevent this, we recommend airing out the kitchen while cooking, especially if you’re preparing something that tends to smoke.

What happens if the alarm goes off?

The alarm system is directly connected to the fire marshal, and any alarm trigger will automatically notify them.

If the alarm sounds, please

  1. Call us immediately at 417-779-5880.
  2. Let us know if it’s a false alarm. This allows us to contact the fire marshal and inform them that it’s a non-emergency.

Important Note: While we will do our best to prevent it, we cannot always stop the fire marshal from dispatching a truck in response to an alarm. If they are dispatched for a false alarm, we are charged a $100 fee, which will be passed along to you.
